I think I have the soul of a merchant. Many times I have returned from the Gen Con with more money than I have started with. I need to learn how to bring this into my professional life. Like many capitalist Americans I like the idea of more money.
I enjoy plotting, thinking, and sceeming about retirement. The ultimate purveyor of slothful play.
I think too much. I enjoy finding the best way to do things. I like to figure things out that will specifically make things easy for me, by precisely and accurately accomplish a task in the shortest amount of time possible. I hate wasting time, time better spent thinking of ways to make things easier . . . and surfing. This often confounds people. I am often told to do less work from my coworkers, and superiors. You would think working would be a good thing, but it is not near the top of the list in the corporate workplace.
Being a gamer geek I lucked out and rolled a critical success on my carousing check and married my best friends sister anitachan. Despite my insistence to the contrary many of my friends are completely convinced that I built her in my basement ala Buffy.
I am a proud pessimist. I find it insulting that many think this is a wholly negative trait to display. While true there are disadvantages to this paradigm, it is a blessing. Refusing the status quo and working towards improving that witch is not broken is a cornerstone of both western civilization and capitalism. Unfortunately, much like the left handed, pessimists are groomed to conform to the right hand of optimism. Use your left hand say I, and be dammed with it.
